Project Description:
In this project students were tasked to become the poet laureates of often overlooked countries that were involved in World War I. These poet laureates were assigned a country and were responsible for choosing an event that is somehow relevant to their country from WWI. They then studied the event and selected a perspective from which to write a poem. Additionally, each student gave a presentation to their peers explaining their country and their event. Finally, the students compiled their work into a book and displayed it at the open shutter gallery on February 11.

Book Launch Team Description:
During the poet laureate project I worked as a member of the website team. Our goal was to raise awareness of the project and digitally archive the fantastic student work that was exhibited February 11. I worked to provide the website with a stunning background image and spent a week creating an informational video that is now live on the website.
